The Pursuit of Christ

Teaching Overview

After Paul led multitudes to salvation, planted numerous churches, performed many astonishing miracles, wrote much of the New Testament, was caught up to heaven and heard inexpressible revelation, traveled throughout the Middle East, Europe, and Asia spreading the gospel, and suffered great persecution, a vision captured him toward the end of his life. It was the pursuit of Christ. In Philippians 3, Paul reveals six truths about the pursuit of Christ. These are: 1) Don’t put confidence in the externals; 2) Surrender your self-life for a greater treasure; 3) Knowing Christ is the greatest treasure of all; 4) We can gain so much more of Christ; 5) It’s about becoming, not doing; and 6) Let the Spirit align your living condition with your legal position. These six truths are the focus of this message.
