Indwelling Life Overview – Part 3

Wednesday, October 5, 2022

There are at least ten laws or principles of the Spirit-led life. If you apply these principles to your life, it will help you live the Spirit-led life.

These ten principles are:

1. Your spirit’s intuition is the sixth sense, enabling you to know intuitively what the indwelling Spirit communicates directly to your spirit.

2. Spirit-to-spirit communion with Christ is the food that strengthens, nourishes, and energizes your spiritual life.

3. The strongest part of your being—whether spirit, soul, or body—will be the part that influences, leads, and governs you.

4. To live in victory, you must live from victory—the victory Christ won for you through His crucifixion and resurrection.

5. Living by the Spirit begins when living for God ends.

6. God’s grace empowers you to obey what His truth demands, enabling you to abide in Christ deeper and yield Christlike fruit in abundance.

7. Renewing your mind comes from meditation, and meditation always determines your orientation, whether you live from the spirit, soul, or body.

8. You must rely upon the indwelling Spirit to align your living condition—how much you experience of the finished work of the cross—to your legal position in Christ.

9. Applying the cross to your soul, especially to your will, releases greater measures of the Spirit from within you.

10. Whoever dwells in your heart—whether self or Christ—will be the life source from which you live.

Imagine what the church would look like, be like, and do if we stopped trying to live for God and started living from God. If we realized that all spiritual life flows out of union with Christ, not trying to imitate Christ by the soul.

Romans 8:14 would be fulfilled: “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

There would be a generation within the church brought into mature sonship, shining forth God’s glory at the darkest time in history (see Heb. 2:10).

If you want to be the mature sons of God all creation longs and groans for, master the Spirit-led life (see Rom. 8:19-22).

Learn to live by His life and you will go deeper than ever in your relationship with the Lord.
