A few months before publishing my new book, Indwelling Life, I was at a conference—a conference where I had spoken at previously and also released my book, The Eternal Blueprint, in 2019. A lady whom I had never met walked up to me after the meeting and said the Lord has given me a word for you. To be honest, my first thoughts were of skepticism and doubt. Having been in the charismatic movement for decades, I have seen my fair share of words that were not from the Spirit. Anyway, after she shared the word with me, I knew with certainty it was the Lord.
During worship, this lady had a vision of a man sitting on the back row to her left. She saw him open his mouth and a tangible book was upon his tongue. And she heard the Lord say, “The book is already written, so release it.” So, she turned around and saw me. And the Lord spoke to her, “You must tell him.” She communicated all of this to me, and went on to say, “The Lord wrote this book before time through you and there is a generation that needs this book, who will be transformed through these words written by the Lord through you.”
My wife and I were stunned. But being the skeptical person I am, I asked her if she knew I had spoken at this conference before and if she knew I wrote books. She told us she had no idea. This was the first time she had ever seen us.
Little did she know that Indwelling Life was already with the editor and I was struggling with whether to even publish it. Just being honest, I was thinking to myself who is even going to read this anyway? Did I just write this book on my own initiative rather than the Lord instructing me to write it? By the way, if you have ever written a book, these are common thoughts you battle during the long, tedious process of writing.
So, look at how amazing God is. This genuine prophetic word gave me a real expectancy for what the Lord will do through this book and it encouraged me to press through to completion. As was expressed through this word, I do pray the Lord transforms those who read it. I know what I have written has transformed me.
