We have all heard events explained by people who weren’t actually there. The further away from the eye witness observation, the more likely the event will be described incorrectly. In this session, we go to the source of the information, the apostle Paul. This session draws from two key facts related to Paul’s life. First, he is the person given the greatest revelation of God’s eternal purpose as recorded in the book of Ephesians. As we discuss in this session, Paul received this revelation directly from the throne of God as the Lord unveiled His mysteries to him. Second, Paul referred to himself as a wise master builder, who was gifted to build the church based on God’s eternal purpose. Specifically, Paul laid the foundation for the eternal purpose church and that is Christ and Him crucified. Just like God told Moses to build the tabernacle according to the plan given to him on the mountain, we too must have a blueprint for building a church that will fulfill God’s eternal purpose. Paul’s writings reveal this blueprint and we will examine eight principles from Paul’s epistles that will help us build an eternal purpose church. Finally, this session ends with an invitation to each of us to become a wise master builder and to build our life and our church on these eight key principles.
