In John Chapter 4, Jesus defined worship for all generations. He declared the eternal truth that worship is not something we do at a particular time according to a preplanned ritual in a specific place. Worship is more than a song or a prayer. Worship is our response to God’s greatness; it is an expression of adoration from a heart that sincerely loves God. Whether expressed through songs, words, or deeds, worship is an issue of the heart. Drawing from Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well, this session helps to answer the basic question of what is real worship. In this session, we will examine four concepts highlighted by Jesus as He explained worship to the woman at the well and to all who will listen.
