This session focuses on the life of Abraham, and even more specifically, on Abraham as he offered Isaac as a sacrifice and called it worship. The point of the session is that the Christian life is a call to progressively surrender to the Lordship of Christ. It further makes the point that surrender is an act of worship. Having nothing to do with singing songs or gathering together on Sunday mornings, worship is a call to surrender our lives to the Creator of the universe. Jesus’ words in the gospels penetrate deep into our hearts—unconditional surrender is the call to the disciple, and therefore, the worshiper.
