Revelation 14:1-5 is one of the most precious passages of Scripture in the entire Bible. This passage reveals God’s ultimate intention fulfilled in a people who are fully aligned with His eternal plan. In these five verses, we are shown a beautiful picture of the eternal council of the Godhead coming full circle at the end of the age. After patiently waiting thousands of years since His blueprint was conceived in the eternal councils of eternity past, the Father’s and the Son’s dream is finally realized in a remnant “who follow the Lamb wherever He goes” (Rev. 14:4). Though a glorious passage, the enemy has worked overtime to stigmatize this passage by associating it with a religious cult or by making it appear irrelevant to the vast majority of believers. However, if we truly want to see God’s eternal purpose fulfilled, then we need to recover the Lord’s intended meaning of this passage of Scripture. Thus, the reason for this teaching, which answers the questions: Who are the 144,000; where are the 144,000; when does this prophecy take place; and should the number 144,000 be interpreted literally or symbolically?
