Class Overview

Jesus is returning as king of the earth. He is returning to judge the living and the dead. But he is also returning for a bride.  This class will unlock the mystery of the bride of Christ as you discover the depth of God’s love for you as His betrothed bride. You will learn about the parable of the ten virgins, the parable of the marriage feast, and the different types and shadows of the bride of Christ in Old Testament books like Esther, Ruth, Genesis, Hosea, and the Song of Solomon.  You will discover God’s unrelenting love to make you ready as a worthy bride for Jesus.  You will also see the urgent need to make yourself ready as a worthy bride for Jesus.  This class will help you realize that Jesus is a passionate Bridegroom who desires intimacy with you and is passionately longing for you to be made ready so that he can return.

1 – The Kingdom is Like a Wedding

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session sets the stage for the bridal paradigm in the scriptures and establishes the idea of the believer as a bride for Christ as a central theme of Scripture.

2 – The Jewish Wedding System

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session examines the five main components of the ancient Jewish wedding system and applies them to our relationship with Jesus Christ, our heavenly Bridegroom.

3 – Unrelenting Love

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

In this session, you will discover God’s amazing love for you, even in your weakness. This session looks the Father’s love for the Son and the bride and the Son’s love for His bride.

4 – Esther and the Bride of Christ

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

In this session, we look at the book of Esther through the lens of the bride of Christ and her role in the end times. We look at the mighty call of the bride and the preparation required to partner with Him.

5 – Five Characteristics of the Bride

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session continues looking at the book of Esther to establish the truths that the end-time church will be glorious, prepared, intimate with the Lord, and granted great authority.

6 – The Bride Makes Herself Ready

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session answers the question: Is every believer the bride of Christ. Drawing from the Jewish wedding system and the meaning of key Greek words, this session shows that the bride must make herself ready.

7 – Established in Love

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

In this session, you will discover secrets from the Song of Solomon that reveal how the bride of Christ is established in God’s love. This will help you develop holy passion for Jesus Christ.

8 – Mature in Love

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

In this session, you will discover secrets from the Song of Solomon that reveal how the bride of Christ is brought to maturity through the wilderness of preparation through the dealings of the cross.

9 – Total Devotion

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

In this session, we look at the book of Ruth to see how the betrothed bride matures in devotion to her Bridegroom King. Our main focus is how we, like Ruth, can live totally devoted to Jesus Christ.

10 – The Parable of the Ten Virgins

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session looks at Jesus’ parable of the ten virgins. We look at who the ten virgins represent, the call for the church to get ready, and the need for an intimate relationship with Christ.

11 – Overcoming Jezebel

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session looks at Revelation 17-18 and the need for the betrothed bride to separate from the end-time harlot in order to be made ready for Jesus, our heavenly Bridegroom, in order to partner with Him.

12 – So Doing

Class: Understanding the Bride of Christ

This session ties together many truths from prior sessions and presents an overview of several things that the betrothed bride must be actively doing to make herself ready as the wife of the Lamb.
